:: Supplier Identification

Supplier Identification helps you to expand your list of suppliers which you wish to consider for inclusion into your Qualification and Selection Process. We go through a series of checklist for positive supplier identification. After Identification we classify suppliers in 3 categories:

Green

Established, Reputable and Reliable

Yellow

Require minor corrective action to achieve Green status.

Red

High Risk

:: Supplier Survey

 A Supplier Survey is a follow-up to your Supplier Identification process or list of possible suppliers that you have. Your intent is to check the authenticity of the suppliers as displayed on their websites, by manufacturer reps, and buying services. If your supplier is an established supplier with a reputation then you should proceed directly to qualifying them. If your supplier is unknown you need CSQR to check them out.

CSQR will communicate with the supplier to authenticate their existence, product and industrial background, history, referrals, financial and ownership information, using CSQR Survey Checklist of questions or our Customer's Survey Checklist.

The purpose of using CSQR Supplier Survey is to reduce the time and cost in qualifying and selecting the wrong supplier, in getting unusable FRS and in wasting time and cost of sending your executive overseas to several locations.

:: Supplier Qualification

Supplier Qualification is a follow up on the supplier that you have selected as a potential subcontractor- It is not Supplier Assessment. The customer has a choice of sending purchasing/technical executive to size up the supplier or you can use CSQR. Supplier Qualification is a quick survey of a supplier's manufacturing capabilities. It narrows down the list of potential suppliers to 2-3 possibilities which the customer wants to engage in serious discussions and negotiations.

Supplier Qualification reduces much wasted time and costs in talking to too many suppliers. In qualifying the supplier CSQR will be checking on:

  •  Supplier manufacturing experience

  •  Supplier's existing and previous product type experiences

  •  Supplier's preferred customers

  •  Supplier's manufacturing preferences

  •  Technological knowledge

  •  Technical Capabilities

  •  Production equipment

  •  Production management

  •  Investment and Ownership background

  •  Manpower Management

  •  Conformance to industrial and safety standards

:: Supplier Assessment

Supplier Assessment is a detailed examination of the supplier's manufacturing capabilities. CSQR will work with customer's checklist of requirements. Supplier assessment consists of a range of supplier audits to help the customer begin its technical and procurement negotiations and selection of the supplier as a primary supplier of your product. CSQR Supplier Assessment covers the following:

  •  Management attitudes and business culture

  •  Production Management

  •  Quality Methods and Systems

  •  Production Control and Process Management

  •  External suppliers connections and Management

  •  Technical and Design support

  •  Logistics Management

:: Supplier Control

 The wrong selection of supplier can increase your outsourcing costs in many folds. Some of our customers find it difficult to get their suppliers to improve product quality or to correct the technical and quality deficiencies after much effort and time. It may be too difficult to change a bad supplier to a better supplier due to delivery and production schedules constrains. Only possible way to turn around the situation in a favorable manner- customer may have to take control of the supplier's production line.

CSQR Supplier Production Control can control a supplier's production line temporarily by providing:

  • A Team of CSQR Quality Inspectors

  • A Team of CSQR Technical and Quality Supervisors/Engineers

  • Process and Production Specialists

  • Supervisors / Lead hands /Co-coordinator

You might need them to do the followings:

  • Help the supplier to get the production line into shape

  • Train the supplier's line operators and supervisors on quality methods and product assembly

  • Implement Corrective Actions

  • Improve the Production Process

  • Iron out root causes of quality problems and product problems

  • Sort out the technical complications

  • Bring the production towards meeting customer's quality and delivery needs

  • Return the Production Line to the Supplier for continuous production
