:: Quality Systems
An ISO certification is easily achievable, certified
and audited in most part of the world. ISO certification
does not guarantee that supplier’s QMS is effectively
implemented. CSQR
auditor conducts the following standard audit :
- TS/ISO 16949
- ISO 9000:2000
- ISO 14000
- MIL STD
- AS 9100
:: Process Audit
Before selecting a supplier or after a supplier has
been contracted for production, the customer should
eliminate potential quality issues. CSQR
supplier process audit will look at the supplier's manufacturing
processes to verify:
- Design Record - Includes key characteristics
identification
- Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
(FMEA) – Quantifies risks or potential
failures
- Process FMEA - Quantifies risks
or failures due to Process
- Process Control Plan (PCP)- Lists
the SPC and other controls needed to lessen potential
failures
- Standard Operating Procedures
- Describe Work that flows across functions
- Work Instructions - Describe work
done at a Work Station
The CSQR
Process Auditors will distinguish a good FMEA and Supplier
Control Plan from a weak Plan and co-ordinate customer's
specified requirements. Using CSQR
helps you to prioritize corrective and preventive
actions at various stages of product realization.

:: Supplier Capability
Audit
Supplier Capability Audit helps to check out the supplier's
technical capability to ensure the supplier has the
knowledge, the technical manpower, the technical facilities,
the mastery of your technical documents and technical
feedback to the customer. We could help if you are in
negotiating with a new supplier, your Supplier has new
facilities, new investment in an industry, is inexperienced
with a new technology or your current supplier acquired
new facilities in overseas to handle new products utilizing
untried technologies.
Supplier Capability Audit minimizes the manufacturing
problems arising from contracting a supplier that may
be hiding his technical weaknesses. It makes it easier
for you to gauge your supplier's capability and to devise
an action plan to help him overcome technical obstacles.
:: Technical Compliance
Supplier quality defects and product failures are caused
mainly by supplier technical inefficiency and customer
inability to communicate and monitor supplier technical
functions. A Supplier's production management objective
is to make what must be made and meet their production
quota. CSQR
Technical Compliance Team is made up of Product
Technical Specialists who have specialization in products
they know best. Knowing their Products means knowing
the technical and design requirements, and the safety
and technical standards. The Technical Compliance Team
will:

- Review Customer’s technical, design
and specifications requirements and documentation
with Supplier.
- Provide a Technical Feedback Loop between
Customer and Supplier to ensure that Supplier get
a good idea of customer’s preferences and supplier’s
concerns
- Review Supplier’s recommendations
and use of alternative components versus customer
approved components.
- Follow up on Supplier Assessment audit
of Technical Capabilities for better Supplier Capability
Enlargement.
- Provide a continuous feedback on Supplier
Technical Problems.
- Review Supplier Original Equipment Manufacturing
designs for Customer.
:: Dock Audits &
Shipment Audits
Sometimes Supplier quality defects and product failures
are caused after final inspection and shipment out of
the supplier’s dock. Loading or staging inappropriately
might cause problem with certification label, destination
label or even part movement within the packaging during
transit for drop shipment. CSQR
also monitors truck arrival for critical shipment and
On Time Delivery (OTD) records.
:: Supplier Audits
Managing a bad supplier consumes too much management
time. It also results in unexpected quality and production
surprises that lead to high unbudgeted cost of quality,
line spill, line accumulation. If you missed filtering
them out during the pre-contract stage, your problem
prevention is using CSQR
to make regular 3rd party in-process audits, conducted
at regulated intervals, it could be quite effective.
Also in-process audits helps to keep the suppliers on
their toes. It is also a reminder to that you are serious
about getting good products.
CSQR
can customize a Regular Audit Program that includes
a series of audits on a multiple number of suppliers
in the same location. A program audit can include a
design audit, a Supplier Feedback Audit and even a Social
Accountability Audit.
- When the ISO Certification is only good
as a marketing tool
- When a supplier’s technical capabilities
must be measured against supplier’s words
- When supplier management attitudes and
culture must be compared against actual production
systems and actual factory practices
- When the quality and product defects cost
too much and you need to find the root causes
- When the supplier says "no problems"
to everything you want
- When the Purchase Order is given and Works
In Progress begins
- When a new product is a follow up to an
old product at the same supplier
- When supplier technical and production
feedback is weak
